Frequently Asked Questions

Is CS Connect really free?

Yes, 100% free. We're a nonprofit. No membership fees, no charges for resources or anything else.

Who can join CS Connect?

Anyone into CS: pre-uni students prepping for entry tests, undergrads, grads, or working folks who want to give back. All universities and cities in Pakistan.

Do I need to be a CS student to join?

Not necessarily. Most of us are CS students, but we have people from IT, software engineering, data science, electrical engineering, and other related fields.

What's the difference between WhatsApp and Discord?

WhatsApp is where most of the action happens. The community has focused spaces: General for daily chat, Linux & Open Source, Programming, and Entry Test Prep. Discord has topic channels, voice rooms, and is better for longer tech discussions. Joining both is ideal.

How can I contribute to CS Connect?

Share your entry test experience, create study resources, mentor juniors, volunteer for events, or help with content. Message any admin and we'll figure out what works.

Can I be a podcast guest?

Yes. If you've got a story worth telling (entry test, university, career, side projects), we'd love to have you. Hit us up on WhatsApp or Discord.

Is there any spam in the groups?

We don't allow spam and moderators keep an eye on things. The focus is on real discussion, sharing resources, and helping each other out.
